This song ‘Mr President’ by African China a Nigerian artist affected me in more ways than one. During the October 2020 EndSars Protest in Nigeria, where young people rose up against police brutality, they used this song to chant their grievances against the government. The artist in his song evokes themes of bad governance, poor leadership, corruption, poor infrastructure among others. What got me thinking was that though the song energized the protesters, its message was exactly why the protesters were on the streets of Lagos in
